Progress Report

i have been so bad at updating mini man's progress that i had quite a few i wanted to write about..but i guess the flavour of the month is him trying to walk... for the past few weeks..we have noticed that he is getting more and more proficient on his legs ... so the few postings coming up are going to be all the backlogged stuff that i wanted to write about..but you know how it is..when you dont write about it there and then..you kinda lost the flavour..but i'll try my best...

Nearly There

i have not updated miniman's progress for nearly 2 months. He is progressing in leaps and bounds.. in early November, i noticed that his vocabulary is getting more and more expansive and he is getting more and more expressive too.. there was a day he did the GOOGOO GAAGAA thing ahahha.. and i thought those were all in the books hahaha...
By middle of november... he is getting more and more proficient at cruising..the sofa and his activity table has became his stabiliser... i am glad i bought the table.. he would be standing and circling the table while he plays with it.. in a way it has become an exercise...there was a day he was standing at the sofa..then he got hold of a book... and he actually let go of both hands as he was so intent on the book he was holding. ..ahahha nearly 2-3 seconds..but he eventually realised.. and he sat down with a bump , (no pun intended)...thank god for diapers...
but basically ..he is growing up.. physically might not be so obvious.. but the others.. ie the way he talks..the way he plays.. the way he cries...
i guess that is quite logical as he would be 1 year old in 2 weeks time .. ??? how time flies.. and now my mum is harping on giving him and adik ..waaaatt????

Usually Adib will fall asleep when ayah said 'adib sudah ngantuk'... such an obedient boy kan?... heheheeee... But sometimes even when u repeat the song 4-5 times pun, dia tak tidur lagi... hmmm... terpaksa laaa layan him until he is tired enough... but usually, ayah yang fall asleep first... heheheee... then mummy lah kena take over...

When ayah need to repeat the song for several times, and adib fall asleep at last, ayah will put another lyrics as I need to put him down... berat wehhh!!!!... here's the additional lyrics...

Of bottles, teats and milk

Since my BFF the glam babes got Big A, ive been exposed to breast feeding, the challenges and the benefits that comes with it. So when i got pregnant, it is was a no brainer that i would also continue with the breastfeeding effort.
Alhamdulillah the mini man's journey with breastfeeding was quite positive, eventhough on the day he was born, it took us nearly half a day to get him to latch on and suckle properly..
He was exclusively breast fed for the 1st 6 months of his life, then once he hit 6 months, i introduced solids to complement his food intake. From a normal consumption of 12 oz/day when he was on purely milk the intake was reduced to about 8-10oz/day once he started solids. But somehow when he hit 8 months or so, he started refusing the bottle when he is at school. So now the minders had to give him milk using pippette.. and he only takes about 4 oz/day..
im so baffled as we have tried a lot of things but to no avail, change teats, change bottles, give in cup with spouts...
but one thing i noticed is that once we got home, he would be craving for nenen.. then melekat there ... and numerous times during the night, would come to me for drinks..
i guess he might be doing what ppl would call reverse cycling, ie drinking more at night, but with feeding directly, im not too sure wether he is drinking enought to cover his requirement.
and of course there are times,when he woke up for middle of the night feed, on a day where i was really tired, mummy dia tak terbangun pun.....sigh...
how aaaa....

posting malas..

I was supposed to chronicle the mini man's progress from the very beginning. But since he is going to be 10 months soon, to review the past 10 months in one posting would be quite lengthy ..so maybe what id do is, id write it progressively. Hopefully at some point i would arrive to the current phase ehehehhe
mula2 macam nak update terus.. tapi tiba2 macam malas ... so nanti2 la hahahha

Hello, Hello..

I noticed that within this 1-2 weeks..the little astronaut has been 'communicating' more and more.. hahahha.. he haaas been blabbering etc for a while now.. buthe seems to have added more noises to his reppertoire..and lately he has added a hand gesture too.. imagine what you would do when you hail a friend..or when people go mamak and say "Ane,...teh tarik satu"... well dats wha the does now... hand high up in the air as if asking for high 5..( or teh tarik hahaha)...As i was commenting last week, he is also expressing his temper... hmmm i so gotta find out what i need to do about it.
This weekend i noticed that whenever i talked on the phone, he would want to join too.And yesterday when we spoke to En Ayah.. he actually sounded as if he was talking to his father.. well all this sounds lame now that i have written it down.. hehehe.. do allow while i indulge eh... my mum said i started talking when i was about 4 months, guess it is no surprise that little mini me is now starting to communicate too.. there are times i wish he would just hurry up and make proper sentences ie during those times that he cries and i cant seem to find anything wrong with him..but of course there are times when i thought, oh no..my baby is growing up too fast ... how aaa....

THEN & NOW

This was how he looks like on the day he was born... people who came to visit said he has the most prominent nose(Among the 1st few were my galpals..Nikky , Tiara and Fie, so they might be biased heheheh) but i cant really tell. The only thing i can remember is when he opened his eyes and looked at me with a very confused look when they put him on my chest just after they took him out of my tummy.. ,

Now..9 months on, he has developed a very distinctive mannerism.. and privately, i do think that he is a bit on the good looking side, but hey, im his mummy, so im allowed to be biased about my boy.. :-)

Temper, temper

The little astronaut has a temper..
En Ayah is saying that this is because he is just discovering that particular emotion and expressing it accordingly.
he woke up last nite raving and ranting.. and if you can imagine a 9 months old.. not yet able to make proper sentence..but making it fully clear he was upset coz i was late in giving him nenen.. maaaan...i gotta teach him proper manners.. but how :-(

can we write properly now

hokay...

where do we start. I guess a good place would be what the blog is all about. That is quite easy, this is a blog abt my baby...currently i have one.. and we hope we'll have more eh.. :-)
why im writing it all is coz im finding that sometimes my memory fails me..and i realised that with babies..somehow they grow up soooo fast that one day, they were this little bundle you brought back from the hospital...and the next, they are this screaming monkey climbing all over the sofa ....
since my little astronaut is my first baby..im still quite amazed at what they can do.. i guess its given la.. maybe with subsequent ones, all those would cease to amaze me ? hahaha.. we'll see..
all this while i made short notes on my handphone..but that really doesnt do them justice eh...
so this is my attempt at making a virtual scrap book for him :-) with the help of En Ayah i hope ...

He is growing up fast

i once started a blog for adib when i got pregnant... and then i abandoned it...
now he is 9months plus.. and i owe him big time...
as i have promised that i would write about him..capture his life in words..(coz dats the best i can do, while ayah captured his life via a lens)...

id try write as much as i can..as often as i can..

Milo ais and french fries...? heheheh... that's my favourite food while i was pregnant with.. a staple diet ... its a wonder i dont turn into one of those willy wonka characters hahahaha...

we would write some more... proper 1st entry kind of thing..
but this would do for now..
